Attractions: Dal Lake – epitome of paradise on earth, spread in the area of 26 sq. Kms and the most photogenic place; Mughal gardens – combination of Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi, best garden and architecture given by Mughals. Charchinar tree island attracts every travel and can be visited by Shikara (small boat). Shankaracharya temple, Dachigam national park and Anantnag filled with hot water springs, beautiful gardens and temples.

Nearest Airport: Srinagar airport placed only 15 km away from the city and have regular flights from New Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune and Bangalore.

Bus Service: Jammu and Kashmir SRTC bus service provide comfortable bus journey in various cities of J&k. From Srinagar to Leh and Ladakh bus runs two times a day. Srinagar is connected well by Delhi and other cities of India. Taxi services are also good option to explore Jammu and Kashmir.

Nearest Railway Station: Nearest railway stations are Bada Gam, Srinagar and Pampora.

Food: Kasmir is not only popular for scenic beauty but also provides authentic non-vegetarian food predominantly meat, chicken and fish dishes. Other mouth watering food are Biryani, Dum Aaloo, Modur Pulav using cinnamon, a little saffron, milk, ghee, sugar, cashew nuts, almonds, green cardamom. Just taste it once and you will become a fan of this dish. Momos, Thukpa and Herbal tea are very popular in Ladakh.

Best Time to Visit: Peak season to visit Srinagar is from April to October as the entire state is covered with blossoms and looks too fascinating. If one wants to do fun and activities liking skiing or paragliding in the snow then visit in November or December.
